improved to resume winning ways over this 2f longer trip, proving himself with cut in the ground; held up, headway 3f out, led 2f out, stuck to task, got first run; should remain competitive given solid profile for top yard, but only a narrow winner on the day and with elements in his favour.

ran well back on softer ground, not exactly seen to best effect either, shaping as if a greater emphasis on stamina will suit him ideally; in touch, headway 3f out, ridden 2f out, switched over 1f out, stayed on, conceded first run; will stay 2m; may do better still.

ran creditably over this 2f longer trip, just lacking a change of gear once headed, this 10 lb higher mark potentially leaving her a tad vulnerable to improvers now; led, headed 2f out, not quicken.

back on softer ground, clearly wasn't 100% on the day; in touch, off the bridle before most, lost place over 2f out, heavily eased off.

A result that makes sense with the winner improving a little over this longer trip, but also benefitting from getting first run on the odds-on favourite, who doesn't do anything quickly and couldn't quite get going in time; the pace was ordinary until lifting early in the straight.

POLARISATION improved to resume winning ways over this 2f longer trip, proving himself with cut in the ground; held up, headway 3f out, led 2f out, stuck to task, got first run; should remain competitive given solid profile for top yard, but only a narrow winner on the day and with elements in his favour.
