caused a surprise as he made a winning return from 17 months off, picking up where he left off back in October 2013, off the same mark as when successful at Carlisle the last time he ran but putting up a career best in form terms nonetheless, underlining his versatility as he was back down markedly in trip and went without the headgear he wore last season; prominent, shaken up tenth, found plenty to lead approaching 2 out, in control when hung left run-in, driven out; this wasn't a strong race for the grade, however, and he'll be vulnerable off higher marks/in stronger races.

is no more than averagely treated, vulnerable in all bar uncompetitive races for the grade, but he's uncomplicated sort and this was a good effort, running right up to his best; made running, jumped well, headed approaching 2 out, kept on, pulled clear of remainder.

failed to repeat last effort, which is hardly solid form in a 4-runner race, and generally he's on the downgrade and would be hard to back with confidence; prominent, lost place eighth, soon beaten.

after 11 weeks off, would have run respectably if he'd have completed but he is just a sketchy jumper and it wasn't his first mistake when he came to grief at the final fence, about 10 lengths behind in third place and held at the time.

Only 4 of these managed to complete, the solid favourite Roberto Pegasus out at the first fence, and it looks weak form for the grade; what would usually be the third last fence was bypassed due to a stricken horse.
