bounced back to form to come out on top on his second start in handicaps, visually impressive and improving a chunk in the process, but admittedly helped by being held up in a strongly-run race; held up, smooth headway from halfway, shaken up over 1f out, quickened to lead entering last ½f, forged clear; will remain of interest nonetheless, especially as he should have no problem over further.

making handicap debut, ran creditably and though had no excuses on the day, is on a fair mark already and left the impression he has a bigger performance in him still; mid-field, shaken up 2f out, edged ahead soon after, headed entering last ½f, kept on; still unexposed.

got right back on track on just his second start in nurseries, doing best of those ridden close up to boot, while he's eligible for much weaker contests than this; in touch, ridden 2f out, disputed lead until well inside final 1f, one paced.

notably strong in betting for handicap debut, came off worst in a messy contest, clearly unlucky not to finish closer; mid-division, travelled smoothly, denied a run until well inside final 1f, switched last ½f, finished with running left; remains with potential.

again wasn't completely disgraced, still involved late in the day after racing closer to the pace than ideal; handy, driven over 2f out, every chance over 1f out, weakened last ½f.

making handicap debut, ran below form whilst again showing clear signs of temperament; held up, carried head awkwardly throughout, shaken up over 2f out, flashed tail under pressure, no extra final 1f.

A good-quality field for this upgraded nursery final, though it did prove messy, favourite Farkle Minkus the biggest sufferer of that, but the held-up winner was impressive nonetheless, for all he was helped by being held up in a strongly-run contest.
