resumed winning ways, suited by the return to 2m, for all that this didn't make full use of his stamina; close up, led over 2f out, asserted approaching final 1f, closed down last ½f but kept on well and always holding on; he may do better still granted a stiffer test at this trip.

confirmed return to form, and is on a handy mark if able to build further on this revival; dropped out, headway under 2f out, kept on well final 1f, never nearer; he's one to bear in mind.

ran respectably, again failing to convince with his attitude under pressure; in touch, travelled better than most, every chance under 2f out, carried head awkwardly, one paced; his temperament is firmly under suspicion now.

making handicap debut on first outing since leaving Simon Crisford after 10 months off, shaped much better than the bare result, looking a threat before he met trouble; raced off the pace, headway on inner over 2f out, denied a run soon after, not recover; he remains with potential, one to bear in mind.

ran one of this season's lesser races; in touch, settled better than last time, ridden approaching 3f out, every chance soon after, weakened final 1f; this year has generally been tougher for him but he has at least edged back down the weights, likely to be on or below the mark he defied for his final win of 2018 next time.

A 0-105 in name only, none close to the rating ceiling, but it is worth being positive about the 3-y-o winner, who was more authoratitive than the margins would suggest; the pace was on the modest side until around 4f out.

THEMAXWECAN (IRE) resumed winning ways, suited by the return to 2m, for all that this didn't make full use of his stamina; close up, led over 2f out, asserted approaching final 1f, closed down last ½f but kept on well and always holding on; he may do better still granted a stiffer test at this trip.
