This isn't the deepest of listed events, as highlighted by the outsiders in third/fourth who seem no better than fairly useful at this stage; the first 2 did pull a long way clear, however, in a race that was truly run and both of them are promising types that could go on to better things.

SKIFFLE caught the eye on debut, that only 13 days ago, and knew a lot more this time, an indication of the regard in which she's held that she was up to listed company so soon, and showed much improved form to open her account from some other progressive, promising fillies; held up, headway under pressure over 2f out, chased leader over 1f out, found plenty to lead final 100 yds, showing a good attitude; she'll be suited by 1½m and remains open to plenty of improvement, the Ribblesdale the ideal next step.

THE BLACK PRINCESS (FR) is improving all the time even though she's been a beaten favourite on both starts this year and there's no doubt that she's a potentially smart filly; mid-division, travelled strongly, headway over 2f out, produced to lead over 1f out, kept on, collared final 50 yds; likely to progress further and should be well up to winning a similar event.

PLAY GAL ran to a similar level as last time, proving that she wasn't flattered at Chester; led, ridden 3f out, headed 2f out, kept on, no match for principals; she's not going to be the easiest to place but this gains her all-important black type for connections.

VISAGE BLANC ran about as well as could have been expected upped in grade, just 7 days after winning an ordinary handicap from a BHA mark of 67; tracked pace, challenged over 2f out, hung right, one paced; she may improve again with her sights lowered.

SEPTEMBER STARS (IRE) possibly isn't up to this level but shaped better than the distance beaten suggests; patiently ridden, travelled better than most, short of room under 3f out, never landed a blow but wasn't unduly punished; may yet do better given pedigree/previous promise.

ZAAKHIR (IRE) made a winning start 6 months ago in a race that has worked out and is worth another chance, not looking the easiest of rides here, but that's best put down to inexperience for now, with the track possibly not suiting either; chased leaders, went in snatches, hung left over 2f out, weakened.

MIRSAALAH again ran poorly and the hard race she endured when beating The Black Princess at Nottingham seems to have knocked her back; chased leader, pushed along 3f out, weakened 2f out.

DESSERTOFLIFE (IRE) is best excused this run, having little go right in the race; trapped wide early tracking the pace, shuffled back after 3f, weakened 2f out, considerately handled.

CAJOLED (FR) clearly wasn't 100% on the day; slowly into stride, in rear, headway under pressure 3f out, beaten over 1f out, eased off.
