Not much of a handicap for a 0-135 but at least it was run at a good pace, the youngest pair in the field asserting after 4 out.

ADAM DU BRETEAU (FR) clearly hadn't been beaten for stamina on his previous start as, with his usual rider back in the saddle, he made it 3 wins from his last 5 outings with what probably represents a career-best effort, a good round of jumping possibly at the heart of it; pressed leader, jumped soundly in main, travelled fluently, went on after 4 out, asserted between last 2, ridden out.

LEO LUNA is hardly likeable but ran one of his better races back in a less competitive affair, far from guaranteed to back it up, however; chased leaders, went in snatches, went prominent 5 out, every chance after, one paced between last 2.

PETE THE FEAT (IRE) won this race in 2013 and finished second in 2015 but he is rising 13 now so it'd hardly be surprising if he was on the downgrade, lack of fitness unlikely to have been an issue this time; forced pace, not fluent second, ninth, headed after 4 out, left behind straight.

ST DOMINICK (IRE) is seemingly struggling for form at present, his jumping rather lacking confidence too; dropped out, not always fluent, took closer order after thirteenth, shaken up approaching 4 out, soon done with.

ROYAL NATIVE (IRE) failed to complete after 10 months off; patiently ridden, unseated rider seventh.

LEG IRON (IRE) in a change of headgear and turned out again quickly, ran another of his lesser races; mid-field, went with little fluency, pushed along after tenth, lost touch before fourteenth.
