back up in trip, took the step up in grade firmly in his stride, again impressing with his jumping/attitude and continuing what has been a fairytale first season for his handler by providing her with her first Grade 1 success (first runner in Ireland also); tracked pace, jumped soundly, travelled well, challenged from 3 out, led last, kept going well; a thoroughly likeable and genuine type, he may do better still, connections intimating he may now head to the Champion Novice Chase at the Punchestown Festival, though an on-song Douvan is likely to prove an altogether different proposition to what he's faced so far.

turned out again relatively quickly, ran as well as he ever has, just finding one that is on a steep upward curve too good; close up, not fluent early but warmed to task as race wore on, travelled fluently, went on tenth, joined 3 out, headed last, kept on; he looks sure to win more races over fences.

got back on track but was once again found wanting when push came to shove; waited with, travelled well, crept closer before eighth, chased leaders from 4 out, close up when not fluent next, found less than looked likely.

Not a strong renewal of this Grade 1 novice chase all things considered, but the pair that dominated the market and the finish are smart sorts, the thriving Kylemore Lough extending his winning sequence to 5.

KYLEMORE LOUGH back up in trip, took the step up in grade firmly in his stride, again impressing with his jumping/attitude and continuing what has been a fairytale first season for his handler by providing her with her first Grade 1 success (first runner in Ireland also); tracked pace, jumped soundly, travelled well, challenged from 3 out, led last, kept going well; a thoroughly likeable and genuine type, he may do better still, connections intimating he may now head to the Champion Novice Chase at the Punchestown Festival, though an on-song Douvan is likely to prove an altogether different proposition to what he's faced so far.

BLAIR PERRONE (IRE) got back on track but was once again found wanting when push came to shove; waited with, travelled well, crept closer before eighth, chased leaders from 4 out, close up when not fluent next, found less than looked likely.
