A solid piece of form rather than anything more compelling, Weather Babe returning from an absence with an improved display, the free-going runner-up ensuring a sound gallop.

WEATHER BABE was the stable second string according to the market/jockey bookings, but has a good record fresh and produced a career best to resume winning ways after 9 months off; in touch, travelled smoothly, upsides 3 out, led next, kept going well; further progress will be required to follow up.

RISK A FINE (IRE) a headstrong individual, was hardly an obvious candidate for a step up in trip but acquitted himself with credit, his form much better at Exeter than anywhere else; raced freely and soon clear, closed down 3 out, headed next, kept on.

MORE BUCK'S (IRE) ran his race on handicap debut, improvement needed to defy this sort of mark, none forthcoming here on his first attempt at 3m (should suit on pedigree), a tongue strap also tried; mid-division, headway approaching 4 out, ridden approaching 2 out, one paced.

HOUSTON DYNIMO (IRE) with cheekpieces replacing blinkers, wasn't disgraced back over hurdles, the handicapper probably in control, though this trip does appear his limit; mid-division, untidy sixth, driven 2 out, not quicken.

TARA TAVEY (IRE) found her form just dipping below recent levels; mid-division, off the bridle but crept closer seventh, faded from 3 out.

CASH INJECTION was closely matched with Tara Tavey on previous C&D form, but like that rival wasn't at his best; waited with, some headway approaching 3 out, held when blundered last.

REV IT UP (IRE) fared no better after 8 weeks off, turning in a laboured effort without his usual visor; prominent, lost place seventh, soon off bridle, folded approaching 3 out.

DREAM DEAL ran no sort of race and has something to prove as a result; held up, untidy fifth, folded tamely 4 out.
