A slightly muddling race due to a modest gallop, the field never getting strung out, and it's unlikely to prove strong form; it was won by one of the less exposed ones, however, and he did well to come from out the back given how it had developed.

GABRIAL THE HERO (USA) must have had injury trouble to have been off the track for the best part of 2 years but promised more at times during 3-y-o season and proved better than ever to making a winning return, doing well under the circumstances, as he swept through from last place to lead inside the final 1f and won readily, certainly value for something extra; he could go either way from this but is much less exposed than most he'll come up against, with the exception of 3-y-os of course.

KINGSCROFT (IRE) didn't look an obvious type for moving up 1f in trip given that he's a keen-going sort but had no problem with it and turned in his best effort of the season, travelling strongly in a handy position, leading briefly 1f out before the winner pounced; will remain on a fair mark on very best form, but there are never any guarantees with him.

ODIN (IRE) after 6 months off, ran up to best, encouragingly so considering this was barely enough of a test back down in trip; held up, pushed along 3f out, stayed on; will benefit from return to 1½m+.

ENDLESS CREDIT (IRE) needs to improve on his bare achievements to date if he's to defy this sort of mark but again gave the impression there'll be more in the locker at some stage, most likely if/when he learns to settle fully, going well as he hit the front 3f out but not having so much in the tank as it looked, headed 1f out and one paced; could be the sort to benefit from the fitting of a hood.

CORREGGIO ran respectably but has little in hand from present mark; made running, ridden when headed 3f out, plugged on.

PROPHESY (IRE) back down in trip, again ran below form and is yet to fire this season, although is becoming well handicapped and can't be dismissed totally, especially with weaker races open to him than those he's been contesting; prominent, driven 2f out, faded.

PERFECT CRACKER arrived at the top of his game and is better judged on those previous efforts for now; held up, in touch 3f out, short of room over 1f out, faded, not knocked about.

ICEBUSTER was below form back in a more competitive scenario; mid-division, raced freely, close up 3f out, dropped away over 1f out.

KASHMIR PEAK (IRE) attracted support after 9 weeks off but again ran below form; raced wide, held up, progress 3f out, weakened over 1f out.

KARAM ALBAARI (IRE) best not judged on this run; mid-field, chased leaders over 2f out, met some trouble over 1f out, no further impression but wasn't given at all a hard time.
