found it easier back in these calmer waters, getting off the mark for the season and for this yard; held up, headway under pressure from halfway, stayed on to lead final 1f, kept going well; remains largely unexposed and holds several Group 1 entries, though will probably be best kept to this sort of level having had his limitations exposed in the Commonwealth Cup last time.

Not the strongest renewal of this Group 3 sprint with obviously progressive horses conspicuous by their absence, the field fanned out across the track, though the winner - the least-exposed runner in the field - does remain with some potential.

SPEAK IN COLOURS found it easier back in these calmer waters, getting off the mark for the season and for this yard; held up, headway under pressure from halfway, stayed on to lead final 1f, kept going well; remains largely unexposed and holds several Group 1 entries, though will probably be best kept to this sort of level having had his limitations exposed in the Commonwealth Cup last time.

SMASH WILLIAMS (IRE) back down in trip, still hasn't won since his juvenile campaign but deserves credit for his consistency this season; close up, ridden over 2f out, every chance final 1f, held when carried left last ½f.
