didn't have to be at best to resume winning ways, making the most of good opportunity at this level, but was value for a bit extra, only doing enough once in front; held up, ridden over 1f out, produced to lead well inside final 1f, idled, had bit in hand; should give a good account in the Middle Park Stakes next time, but does look worth a try at 7f at some stage.

without the headgear this time, ran creditably, but hasn't lived up to expectations and this would suggest we may have already seen the best of him; raced wide, held up, travelled as well as any, every chance 1f out, effort flattened out.

ran well just 8 days on from a winning debut, and gave the impression that there is a bigger performance in him at some stage; chased leaders, took strong hold, had to wait for gap 2f out, ran on late; remains open to improvement.

This wasn't a particularly strong renewal of this Group 3 and the one with the best form on offer didn't need to be at his best to run out a comfortable winner; it was run at a sound pace.

CAPPELLA SANSEVERO didn't have to be at best to resume winning ways, making the most of good opportunity at this level, but was value for a bit extra, only doing enough once in front; held up, ridden over 1f out, produced to lead well inside final 1f, idled, had bit in hand; should give a good account in the Middle Park Stakes next time, but does look worth a try at 7f at some stage.

RAPID APPLAUSE ran at least as well as last time and has now made the frame on all 3 starts in pattern company; close up, ridden over 2f out, effort 1f out, kept on; will stay 7f.

WAR ENVOY (USA) without the headgear this time, ran creditably, but hasn't lived up to expectations and this would suggest we may have already seen the best of him; raced wide, held up, travelled as well as any, every chance 1f out, effort flattened out.

SHEPHERD'S PURSE ran well just 8 days on from a winning debut, and gave the impression that there is a bigger performance in him at some stage; chased leaders, took strong hold, had to wait for gap 2f out, ran on late; remains open to improvement.

APPROBARE (IRE) back down in trip, faced a stiff task in this grade, but seemed to show much improved form; held up, kept on, never landed a blow; remains to be seen if able to back this up.

BLACKBRIAR more exposed than rest, ran as well as could be expected; led until approaching final 1f, no extra; will be better off in handicaps.

INVINCIBLE DIAMOND (IRE) whose rider was unable to claim, faced a stiff task in this grade, but ran poorly even so; close up, ridden over 2f out, weakened.
