seems to be a little way down the pecking order of middle-distance colts at Ballydoyle, certainly behind the likes of Australia and Geoffrey Chaucer in reputation, but looks a potential Group 1 performer in the making himself, improving in leaps and bounds; mid-field, travelled smoothly, quickened to lead 1f out, kept on well, had bit in hand; is bred along similar lines to Cape Blanco (by Galileo out of a sprinter) and will stay 1½m; remains capable of better and would hold strong claims in the King Edward VII at Royal Ascot, his next reported target..
mid-field, led 1f out, kept on well, readily

's reappearance effort at Lingfield was clearly too bad to be true and wasted no time getting back to form, though once again had his limitations exposed; forced pace, tackled 2f out, headed over 1f out, stuck to task; listed/lesser Group races are probably where his future lies but is well worth another try at 1½m.

took his form up another notch despite this 1f longer trip appearing to stretch his stamina to the limit; chased leader, challenged over 1f out, no extra and lost second close home; sure to win more races when the emphasis is more on speed, likely to prove best at short of 1¼m.

has clearly had his problems since lowering Australia's colours in a maiden here 11 months ago, but shaped as if retaining ability in first-time tongue strap, simply failing to see out this 3f longer trip; dropped out, in touch early in straight, effort flattened out; will prove suited by a return to 1m and next run should reveal more.
behind, in touch early in straight, not sustain effort

proved a let-down, failed to come on from his reappearance, beaten by more than the drop back in trip; held up, off the bridle before most, made no impression; was sweating up badly by the time he got to the start (nice and relaxed in the parade ring) and possibly has his quirks; something to prove at present.
held up, no impression

A good renewal of this Group 3 that Aidan O'Brien has farmed in recent times, this his ninth win in the last 11 years, and though it was run at a sensible pace in the conditions, the emphasis was still on stamina.
