after 8 months off, picked up where he left off when last seen and is a most progressive colt, making a mockery of his mark on this handicap bow, having the run of things but impressive even so; made all, travelled strongly, drew clear over 1f out, had plenty in hand; he remains open to improvement and the Wolfreton at Royal Ascot is a likely target, although nearer to hand there's the possibility that he'll take his chance at York next week where he'd look very well-in under a penalty.

remains in good form, doing well under the circumstances here, and a 4 lb rise for his Epsom win looks fair; worst of draw, dropped out, headway out wide over 2f out, took second final 1f, no impression on winner but left poorly placed in comparison; he's one to bear in mind, in particular for one of the handicaps back at Epsom at the Derby meeting.

who was hooded in the preliminaries to keep him more relaxed, wasn't totally disgraced making a belated handicap debut after 6 months off and might be sharper for the run; tracked pace, not quicken over 2f out, no further impression.

This didn't look all that competitive for the grade/money, with less runners than usual, but the first 2 are both going the right way and, although the short-priced favourite was allowed an easy time of things in front, he still put up a most dominant performance.

KHAIRAAT (IRE) after 8 months off, picked up where he left off when last seen and is a most progressive colt, making a mockery of his mark on this handicap bow, having the run of things but impressive even so; made all, travelled strongly, drew clear over 1f out, had plenty in hand; he remains open to improvement and the Wolfreton at Royal Ascot is a likely target, although nearer to hand there's the possibility that he'll take his chance at York next week where he'd look very well-in under a penalty.
