looked well treated under a penalty and didn't need to improve to follow up from last time, going away at the finish from a few others who also arrived on upward curves; mid-field, headway 4f out, challenged approaching straight, went on under 2f out, kept on well; will be higher in the weights next time but shouldn't be discounted for it.

upped in trip, again ran well, albeit with the run of things; pressed leader, raced freely, went on after 4f, tackled over 2f out, not quicken straight.

shaped well, the return to further (which looked in her favour) rather offset by the steady nature of the gallop; disputed lead until 2f, remained prominent, ridden under 3f out, one paced; she's still one to be interested in, the potential still there for her to pull out more when her stamina is tested, 2m likely to be right up her street.

chasing the hat-trick after 6 weeks off, was left poorly placed and did well under the circumstances; in rear, driven 3f out, stayed on straight, nearest at the finish; he'll remain of interest.

has improved plenty this year and, after another 4 lb rise in the weights for finishing second last time, shaped better than the distance beaten suggests, his effort waning after he made up ground from a poor position; held up, progress under 4f out, ridden under 3f out, effort flattened out.

fit from jumps, upped in trip and in first-time cheekpieces (on Flat), was ignored in the betting and finished well held; disputed lead until 4f, remained prominent, weakened 3f out; his maiden win has worked out quite well but he's in danger of becoming disappointing.

A valuable handicap contested by a number of interesting sorts and, though a few weren't seen to best effect due to the modest pace, the winner accounted for them with ease.

AIRCRAFT CARRIER (IRE) looked well treated under a penalty and didn't need to improve to follow up from last time, going away at the finish from a few others who also arrived on upward curves; mid-field, headway 4f out, challenged approaching straight, went on under 2f out, kept on well; will be higher in the weights next time but shouldn't be discounted for it.
