This was always likely to concern Maria's Benefit and Jester Jet provided their jumping stood the test and, in the event, they both jumped impeccably, drawing right away before 3 out and confirming themselves at least as good over fences as hurdles, if anything the runner-up enhancing her reputation considering she's proven over much further.

MARIA'S BENEFIT (IRE) further enhanced her cracking strike rate by making it 2/2 over fences in typical fashion, admittedly more at home over the trip than her main rival but again impressing with her enthusiasm, the only slight concern being that she was low at the odd fence and could potentially come unstuck with such a technique at bigger tracks with stiffer fences; raced clear, jumped fluently, typically travelled well, shaken up approaching 2 out, always holding on; she'd only need run to a similar level to add further wins to her record this season.

JESTER JET provided further proof that she's taken really well to chasing, as at Ffos Las beaten only by a really good one, and she seems sure to go one better soon, hard to believe she won't win a few races at least this season, if anything enhancing her reputation here in pushing Maria's Benefit as close as she did over a trip which was always likely to suit that one better; prominent main group, jumped soundly (not a semblance of a mistake), pushed along after 3 out, battled well.

MISS NIGHT OWL after 5 months off, probably ran to a similar level as last time, still below her hurdling form but obviously up against a couple of good mares on this occasion, sticking on better than might have been expected after not being as fluent as that pair; prominent main group, not fluent fourth, slow sixth, lost touch after 4 out, plugged on.

ALL CURRENCIES (IRE) fairly useful over hurdles, ran below that level sent chasing after 9 months off but was undoubtedly up against it in this company and it'll be no surprise if she's closer to her hurdling form next time, a winning pointer after all; in touch, not fluent ninth, 4 out, no threat from next.

LOSTNFOUND sent chasing after 6 months off, wasn't up to the task and will be better off in handicaps, not really fair to judge her on this; dropped out, no threat some way out, mistake 2 out, never on terms; both her pedigree and way of going about things suggest she should take to fences.

KING'S RESTE (IRE) couldn't have been expected to get near the front 2 but still turned in another poor effort and has seemingly lost her way for the time being; held up, hit fourth, pushed along after seventh, lost touch soon after.
