proved at least as good as ever to come out on top, the application of a tongue strap perhaps making a difference, whilst more positive tactics seemed to suit too (had the run of the race); made all, not always fluent, shaken up after 4 out, kept going well.

returned to form after 10 weeks off, his stable generally seeming to have turned the corner having had 2 winners earlier on the card, and he didn't have a problem dropping back markedly in trip, beaten only by one that had the run of things; patiently ridden, travelled well, took closer order 5 out, chased leader after 2 out, kept on; he should remain competitive now back in form.

A run-of-the-mill handicap chase; the winner had the run of things and the second is probably of more interest going forward.

THE ORANGE ROGUE (IRE) proved at least as good as ever to come out on top, the application of a tongue strap perhaps making a difference, whilst more positive tactics seemed to suit too (had the run of the race); made all, not always fluent, shaken up after 4 out, kept going well.

NAKADAM (FR) returned to form after 10 weeks off, his stable generally seeming to have turned the corner having had 2 winners earlier on the card, and he didn't have a problem dropping back markedly in trip, beaten only by one that had the run of things; patiently ridden, travelled well, took closer order 5 out, chased leader after 2 out, kept on; he should remain competitive now back in form.

LOWANBEHOLD (IRE) wasn't disgraced in first-time cheekpieces but seems to be going through the motions at present; tracked pace, ridden when mistake 4 out, left in a place last, one paced.

TAP NIGHT (USA) was well held in first-time visor and temperament is getting the better of him (best treated with caution); raced off the pace, not always fluent, labouring badly after 5 out, made little impression.

ASUNCION (FR) had plenty on from out of the handicap; prominent, off the bridle before most, lost place before twelfth, tailed off.

DANEHILLS WELL (IRE) was in the process of running creditably when departing; prominent, shaken up between 4 out and 3 out, blundered 2 out, held but in third when unseated rider last, looking sure to be placed.

DINGO BAY was strong in the betting but ran no sort of race on first outing since leaving John Wade after 23 months off; mid-division, jumped none too fluently, reminders after sixth, pulled up before twelfth.
