A race weakened by non runners due to the ground, the 2 older fillies, with good form claims and proven on soft, dominated the race, their younger rivals largely floundering on the surface, the third seemingly much improved for it, though possibly flattered, for all that the runner-up, in dictating, seemed to have the run of things, the race run in the worst of the weather.

EVITA PERON made most of good opportunity, though needed to run up to her best against an enterprisingly-ridden opponent, showing a really willing attitude to prevail; waited with, effort straight, headway over 1f out, found plenty to lead final 50 yds; will continue to give good account.

SOLAR MAGIC bounced right back to form under an enterprising ride back over shorter, a change of tactics so nearly paying dividends; led, quickened clear straight, ridden after 2f out, kept on well, headed final 50 yds.

MOLLY DOLLY (IRE) seemed to excel herself in this better company, on softer ground than previously and at 1m for the first time, though as nothing behind her ran its race and she was no threat to the first 2, it may be that she is flattered; slowly into stride, held up, pushed along over 3f out, stayed on inside final 1f.

YASMEEN on softer ground than previously, was back in lesser company but was again below form after 5 weeks off; tracked pace, pushed along 3f out, weakened after 2f out.

BELLA NOSTALGIA (IRE) was below form, unable to lead and unable to cope with the conditions, on softer ground than previously; handy, ridden entering straight, weakened after 2f out.

JELLY MONGER (IRE) on softer ground than previously, was well held after 10 weeks off, plenty on again kept to this level; in touch, labouring early in straight.
