#2 Kentford – Sunshine Coast R5 (06:09 GMT)

Kenford raced close to the pace and kept on finding when a close second over this distance at Kilcoy recently and has a good chance to go one better here from a favourable draw. Bridget’s Diary is also in the mix after getting up late on to win at Warwick last start, while Hard Yaga makes up the shortlist.

#3 Ocean Waves – Sunshine Coast (06:45 GMT)

Ocean Waves put in a good performance when beaten less than three lengths in a strong class 3 at Eagle Farm last month and, following a subsequent trial win, is expected to bang there come the finish. Emsie Is A Start tired late on when fifth at this track last month but should be fitter for that run and looks the main danger.

#3 Construe – Sunshine Coast R7 (07:15 GMT)

Construe belatedly got off the mark at Murwillumbah last month but did so in emphatic fashion, putting a big gap between herself and the rest of the field, and is fancied to go in again here now the penny has dropped. The Minivan just about justified favouritism when breaking his maiden at Warwick on Boxing Day and is in with a chance if able to improve on that form, while Concave could also be a threat from a nice draw.
