Timeform logoAnalyst's Verdict

This may develop into a straight fight between CATCH ON ME and Cayman Dancer. The latter has been quite keen over 2m so this slightly longer distance is a bit of a concern and it's possible Venetia Williams' charge, who is proven over an extended 2½m, will have too much for him late on. Irish point winner Handmedownastar may prove best of the remainder.

AGGAGIO has dropped to a decent mark and might be worth chancing with Tom Cannon taking over from an inexperienced conditional. A Mere Bagatelle has been shaping up quite well since joining James Owen and looks the chief threat.

HOLD UP LA COLMINE gets the vote in a tight handicap having shaped better than the beaten distances suggest since winning emphatically at Windsor. The reapplication of headgear could help Mon Champion, whose Hereford form looks solid.

An uninspiring handicap and a good opportunity for JUNIOR DES MOTTES to resume winning ways. It wouldn't be a surprise to see more from Betgoodwin, who clearly wasn't the stable's leading hope on handicap debut here last time.

There were positives to take from JOLIE BAIE's latest effort and she could be the answer to this trappy-looking contest. Sweet Magic hasn't fired so far this season but she's edged down to an attractive mark and will be a threat if able to bounce back. Innisfree Lass returned to form back over hurdles at Southwell and she has to be taken seriously, too.

RAFFLES HERMES shaped notably well when runner-up at Wincanton and, with that form proving strong, he's taken to go one better. Hat-trick seeker Falco des Pins is a solid rival, though.

NIMBA made quite a taking winning bumper debut at Catterick in November and could be good enough to defy a penalty. The Perfect Poet is the pick of the newcomers before market clues, while Ms des Fois showed promise on her recent introduction at Ascot and merits consideration, too.
