back over fences, slipped up after the third.
6 Aug 15 Sli Stks 2/5 2 Hurdle W 16f Heavy Davy Russell 6/42.5 2.5 -/1.52 2kr 102.1 116 116
is a better chaser than hurdler and, with that in mind, he ran pretty well reverted to this sphere without needing any excuses; prominent, travelled well, took over 2 out, kicked on soon after, headed run-in, stuck to task but essentially no match for the winner.
3 Jul 15 Wex Stks 1/3 2.25 Chase W 16f Gd/Frm D. J. Mullins (3) 8/19 11.53 16.5/- 3r 101.2 145? 145?
without the cheekpieces worn last time, bounced right back to his best after 12 weeks off and with a good-value claimer again in the saddle, resuming winning ways in the process, though he did only look to be coming off second best until The Game Changer's jumping went to bits; in touch, went prominent sixth, effort approaching 2 out, pecked last, stayed on to lead run-in, ridden out; has a bit of a mixed record to date, and is unlikely to find things panning out so fortuitously next time.

9 Apr 15 Ain C1 Hcap pu/17 Chase 145 16f Good (s) D. J. Mullins (5) 14/115 26.5 -/20 4 98.9
retried in headgear, ran one of lesser races and has an increasingly mixed record; waited with, shaken up end of back straight, soon done with; unpredictable.
26 Feb 15 Thu Stks 2/4 0.75 Chase W 18f Heavy B. J. Cooper 15/82.87 3.25 -/1.04 2K 125.6 143+ 143+
ran to similar level as last time, unable to get the job done having travelled best; chased leader, travelled strongly, not fluent 2 out, led on bridle before last, tackled run-in, collared close home.
14 Feb 15 Gow Grade 2 3/5 10 Chase G2 20f Heavy Davy Russell 50/151 107.79 -/17 4 143? 143?
upped in trip, wasted no time getting back to form, although was suited by the way the race developed; held up, went prominent 4 out, driven second 3 out, held when mistake last; remains to be seen if able to back this up.
11 Jan 15 Fry Hcap 7/9 45.5 Chase 141 17f Soft D. J. Mullins (7) 12/113 16.54 -/15.5 3 101.6 94 94
was below form after just 6 days off, possibly found race coming too soon; mid-field, labouring before 4 out, soon beaten.
5 Jan 15 Thu Listed F/7 Chase L 18f Heavy B. J. Cooper 5/16 6.88 -/2.02 1 107.4 142? 142?
back up in trip and down in grade, shaped as if back in form, still in with every chance when coming down 2 out; made running, joined ninth, headed 4 out, upsides and yet to be asked for effort when fell 2 out; doesn't always find as much as seems likely so would probably have finished second.
7 Dec 14 Cor Grade 2 7/10 39.5 Chase G2 16f Heavy M. P. Fogarty 20/121 31.17 -/27 2 96 96
without the headgear this time, was possibly unsuited by conditions back on softer ground; prominent, mistake second, ridden before 4 out, lost place soon after.
9 Nov 14 Nav Grade 2 5/7 18 Chase G2 16f Gd/Sft (s) B. J. Cooper 8/19 14.7 -/10 4 126+ 126+
in first-time cheekpieces after 6 months off, again ran below form; held up, in contention 3 out, dropped away before next; won't be easy to place in short term.

1 May 14 Pun Grade 1 pu/8 Chase G1 16f Gd/Sft Brian O'Connell 40/141 107.19 -/60 1l ?
was out of depth but still ran no sort of race; helped force pace, lost place after third, struggling badly around halfway, beaten long way out; possibly sulked when harried for early lead here and, all in all, has bit to prove looking ahead to next autumn.
3 Apr 14 Ain C1 Hcap 9/16 19.5 Chase 148 16f Gd/Sft G. N. Fox (7) 5/16 6.4 -/4.3 1 130+ 130+
isn't well handicapped even on his Doncaster second and that remains something of a standout, admittedly going off fairly hard here with competition for the lead; forced pace, headed eighth, held after 2 out.

25 Jan 14 Don C1 Grade 2 2/5 3.25 Chase G2 16.5f Gd/Sft Denis O'Regan 14/115 13.9 -/1.15 1k 145+ 145+
took very well to chasing in the summer and, upped in grade back over fences 6 weeks after an easy win hurdling, he produced a career-best effort, looking set to win until making a mess of the second last (matched at as short as 1.15 in-running on Betfair), though there was an opportunistic element to it, not setting a steady pace but equally not hassled in front; made running, went with enthusiasm, jumped boldly in the main and yet to be asked for effort when clouted 2 out, lost momentum, headed run-in and one paced.
13 Dec 13 Dpk Stks 1/5 6.5 Hurdle W 18.2f Good Davy Russell 4/51.8f 2.03 2.08/- 1kj 120+ 120+
back over hurdles, after 6 months off, completed hat-trick; made running, jumped well, went with zest, in command 2 out, heavily eased; will remain of interest.

10 Jun 13 Ros 1/6 0.5 Chase W 16f Gd/Frm Davy Russell 9/43.25 3.76 6.2/- 2k 122 122
on firmer ground than previously, followed up from last time; chased leader, travelled well, mistake 4 out, led 2 out, held on gamely, got first run; may find life tougher next time.
14 May 13 Kil Novice 1/11 5.5 Chase N 17f Soft Niall Madden 8/19 16 15/- 1kj 125+ 125+
confirmed promise of chasing debut; prominent, jumped well in main, travelled fluently, led fifth, asserted from 2 out, hands-and-heels ride; can defy penalty; open to further improvement.
22 Apr 13 Cor 3/18 17 Chase W 16f Heavy Davy Russell 5/16 6.48 -/3.1 2f 114+ 114+
on chasing debut, made an encouraging debut in this sphere; close up, jumped safely, led after 5 out, headed when untidy 2 out, faltered, not unduly punished; should do better.
2 Apr 13 Fry 17/22 30.5 Hurdle 139 16f Gd/Sft Davy Russell 16/117 44.85 -/20 3f 104 104
looks too high in weights, fared no better than last time; weakened, never better than mid-field.
9 Mar 13 San C (0-150) 12/19 98.5 Hurdle 135 16.5f Heavy Davy Russell 14/115 20.7 -/1001 2
ran one of lesser races; chased leaders, lost place 3 out, well beaten home turn; hard to catch right.
16 Feb 13 Gow Grade 2 5/5 20 Hurdle G2 16f Heavy Davy Russell 12/113 27.14 -/4 2f 127+ 127+
was below form, wasn't good enough up in grade; tracked pace, led briefly early in straight, weakened; seems best on less testing ground.
5 Jan 13 Cor Stks 2/5 0.75 Hurdle W 16f Heavy Davy Russell 4/15 5.99 -/3.6 3r 132+ 132+
ran up to best, shaping up well; mid-field, headway when blundered 3 out, ridden before next, responded well; best kept to this sort of level.
23 Dec 12 Thu Listed 3/4 2 Hurdle L 16f Heavy A. E. Lynch 16/117 29.99 -/19 1r 119+ 119+
after 7 weeks off, took step back in right direction; dictated, not always fluent, headed 3 out, ran on late; will be better off in handicaps.
10 Nov 12 Naa Grade 3 8/8 125.5 Hurdle G3 16f Heavy Davy Russell 7/18 10.54 -/10 4
a useful juvenile in 2011/12, ran no sort of race after 7 months off; waited with, struggling soon after 3 out, finished tired.

10 Apr 12 Fry Grade 3 8/11 24 Hurdle G3 16f Gd/Sft Davy Russell 2/13f 3.51 -/2.5 2kf 102+ 102+
has been hit and miss over hurdles so far and presumably wasn't right here, still hard on the bridle behind the leading pair after 3 out but weakening tamely after the next.
14 Mar 12 Chl C Hcap 5/24 5 Hurdle 132 16.5f Good Phillip Enright 50/151 127.25 -/4 4k 131 131
ran easily his best race yet, the less testing conditions than he'd faced in Ireland perhaps suiting as he doesn't look the strongest of stayers, leaving the impression here that an even sharper test will be in his favour, briefly looking the likeliest winner as he closed down the leader approaching the last.
25 Feb 12 Fry Grade 2 5/10 23.5 Hurdle G2 16f Heavy Phillip Enright 16/117 24.06 -/34 104 104
was reportedly amiss at Gowran and all may not have been well again, struggling in mid-field as soon as the pace picked up 3 out.
26 Jan 12 Gow 4/5 2.75 Hurdle W 16f Soft Davy Russell 6/42.5 2.64 -/2.5 124 124
failed to back up the good impression made at Limerick, making headway from the rear when not fluent 3 out and no extra after a worse mistake at the next.
28 Dec 11 Lim Juvenile 1/15 1.75 Hurdle N 16f Heavy Phillip Enright 16/117 40.81 42/- 110+ 110+
shaped well on his sole Flat start for Timothy Doyle and belied market weakness to make an impressive winning hurdling debut 2 months on, making smooth headway after a patient ride and having matters well in hand from 2 out, needing just one crack with the whip after another good jump at the last; he'll prove best at 2m and should improve enough to win a novice.

(by Chevalier; dam 7f to 1¼m winner up to 5 yrs)'s pedigree is nothing out of the ordinary but he shaped with distinct promise amidst greenness, losing several lengths with a slow start before keeping on in eye-catching fashion for hands and heels in the straight.
