Lambourn trainer Jamie Snowden is enjoying his best ever season, having passed his previous best total when registering a 27th win of the campaign in February. The yard’s good run of form is showing no sign of stopping, either, as a double at Haydock earlier this week goes to show. One of those winners, useful novice chaser Hogan’s Height, was completing a hat-trick and is improving all the time.

Looking ahead to next week, the stable has a couple of entries in the mares’ novices’ hurdle at Huntingdon on Monday. This could see the hurdling debut of bumper winner Presenting Pearl who was last seen finishing fifth in a listed bumper at Cheltenham in November. Useful novice chaser Three Ways fell on his latest start but he could be interesting if taking up his entry at Hereford on Tuesday. On his previous start, he beat Impulsive Star over the same trip at Catterick and the runner-up has since gone on to run creditably in the National Hunt Chase at the Festival.
It might be a far cry from saddling Toast of New York in the Pegasus World Cup, the world’s richest race, in January, but it’s been a productive winter back home for Jamie Osborne who is currently sixth in the trainer standings as the all-weather season draws to a close next week on Good Friday. March has been another good month for the stable, with six winners spread around five different tracks.
The stable looks to have good prospects of another winner or two from its entries at Southwell next Tuesday. Three-year-old Kion has contributed twice to those successes this month with wins at Wolverhampton and Chelmsford and could bid to make it three out of four since joining Osborne – he’s also entered at Newcastle the previous evening. Like Kion, another member of the increasingly familiar ‘Melbourne 10’ string to have done well since joining Osborne’s yard is Volatile who looks sure to make a bold bid to complete a four-timer - his last two wins have come on the fibresand.
Worcestershire trainer David Dennis could be saddling his first Grand National runner if Final Nudge goes to Aintree next month – the staying chaser has already finished placed in the Badger Ales Trophy and Welsh Grand National this season. The likes of novice hurdler Broken Quest and Topham entry Deauville Dancer, both of whom have run up hat-tricks, are others to have done well for the yard this term, while two wins and five seconds this month are testament to the stable's good current form.

Among the stable’s possible runners next week are Norse Light, who has won over both hurdles and fences this season and has been well entered up, while hurdlers Innisfree Lad (touched off at Huntingdon last time) and Schnabel (shaped well at Doncaster on his latest outing) are others to look out for, both entered in handicaps at Warwick and Wincanton on Wednesday.
