Flat Trainer: Ralph Beckett
Ralph Beckett heads the in-form trainers list on Timeform's scale currently and has had some impressive winners over the recent days. He usually finishes the season off strongly and with him hitting that good form earlier than usual, he looks set for a productive end to the year.
He has plenty of entries to go to war with over the coming days that can add to his tally of winners. His two-year-olds have been running well of late without finding their way into the winners' enclosure, but that could change on Wednesday with Great Ambassador. He could make his handicap debut off what looks to be a potentially lenient mark of 86. The form of his three minor events have worked out well with plenty coming out and boosting the form and some of his conquerors stepping into pattern company. He only got caught late on last time at Goodwood when he kicked on two furlongs from home but couldn't see off the challenge of two useful types. This Exceed and Excel colt has the scope to be winning races and can bring up his first success on Wednesday at Doncaster.
Also, Brasca won in impressive fashion at Chelmsford a couple of days ago and if he is turned out under a penalty, he would take plenty of beating. He went into the Chelmsford contest after running below form on heavy ground but relished the switch back to the all-weather, making smooth headway and not needing to come off the bridle to cruise clear. A 6 lb penalty for that success shouldn't be enough to stop him if turned out quickly with no ill-effects and he could prove a force in staying contests over the winter.

Jump Trainer: Charlie Longsdon
Despite not having the numbers that the leading trainers in the National Hunt Sphere have, Charlie Longsdon is up to their standard, especially when his horses are in the form that they are in now. As the graph below shows, the start of the jumps season is when he excels with his string and this year is no different, marking him as a trainer to follow over the coming weeks.

He doesn't have many entries for the coming week, but a couple look worth keeping an eye on. Monty's Award is a lightly-raced seven-year-old, suggesting he's had his fair share of issues but he certainly is good enough for connections to persevere with. Plenty of his form has come after breaks and now looking as if he will return at either Worcester or Uttoxeter early next week after nearly four months, he can show the potential that he's hinted at and could be in for a good season now switched to chasing if he can be kept sound.
Potentially joining him at Uttoxeter on Wednesday is The Vollan, who has used quick conditions to his advantage over the summer. His latest win came at Southwell in June and he has since backed that up with a further three seconds, finishing within two lengths of the winner each time. Now pitched into a higher grade, he may need to progress again but given the quick ground likely to be on offer and that he lost a shoe last time, he could be up to the task.
Under the Radar: Ron Harris
Ron Harris is on track for his best tally of winners over the last five years this campaign and is currently operating at above a £30 profit to a £1 level stake. He seems to excel with sprinters and has two of his useful yardsticks entered in the next week off the back of promising performances, suggesting their turns to win again may not be far away.
Both with entries on Wednesday at different tracks, The Daley Express and Fantasy Justifier bid to continue their shrewd handlers' good run of form. The first-named of those looks to be heading to Doncaster for a handicap over the minimum trip. He can use the drop back into a class four event to his advantage, and could prove his class against his opposition, with plenty of good form over C&D and off the back off an effort at Bath that can be upgraded after racing keenly.
Fantasy Justifier is now an eight-year-old but is showing no true signs of his age catching up with him, having posted a win and a second on his last two starts. Seen exclusively at Chepstow for his last four starts, his penultimate effort in mid-August saw him respond well to pressure to assert when sprinting before attempting to defy a penalty upped to seven furlongs. He was keeping on well last time after having to weave through the field when finishing a never-nearer second, so it is interesting that he is entered over a mile for the first time in his 63-race career. He's capable of being competitive off this mark with the new trip worth a go and if getting a run at Kempton, could go well again.
